For Release: August 13, 2001
RALEIGH, NC August 13, 2001 Acroprint® has partnered with Recognition Systems to offer the HandPunch 2000, 3000, and 4000 to prevent buddy punching. The HandPunch technology is fully compatible with the ATR9800 Time & Attendance System as well as the ATR20/20 Time and Attendance System. The Handpunch offers quick employee identification by analyzing the size and shape of the employee's hand, verifying the hand punch in less than one second. This biometric device offers increased payroll accuracy because employees are required to be present to punch.
The HandPunch series uses hand geometry biometric technology by capturing a three-dimensional image of the employee's hand. Verfication occurs each time the employee punches and a green or red light indicates the punch status. The HandPunch 2000 connects to PC with 50 foot RS-232 communications cable. HandPunch 3000 can be networked with RS-485 wiring to have multiple terminals.
HandPunch 4000 is a robust product offering 10 pre-programmed data management keys and built-in bar code reader. The HandPunch 4000 can be networked for multiple terminals with Ethernet communications options.
HandPunch Technology coupled with the ATR9800 or ATR20/20 is a winning combination in time & attendance system technology. Acroprint data collection terminals are available as barcode, magnetic stripe with communications by modem, RS232, RS485 and Ethernet (ATR9800 only). ATR20/20 enables you to completely automate the following tasks: employee time and attendance calculations, attendance tracking, interface to third party payroll services, report generation, and multiple terminals.
